The barn measures 36’ wide by 84’ long and was used to feed cattle and store hay above in the loft. Handmade wooden arched supports make for a spectacular setting for photography, business or hobby of your choice. There is a storage shed attached to the back of the hay barn that measures 36’ wide by 74’ long. There is an additional storage that is attached to the north of the hay barn measuring 36’ wide by 95’ long that features a large workbench and plenty of room to store your cars and outdoor toys. These outbuildings have concrete floors and there is electricity to each building. The large steel building has a sand and dirt floor and measures 55’ wide by 96’ long that provides plenty of room to store large machinery and equipment. There is an old Hog Shed measuring 22’ wide by 64’ long that features 18 pens, exhaust shuts for the hogs that were used back in the day. The farmstead brick home is located close to the structures and is being sold As-Is. All of the structures back up to a running creek that can provide fishing and duck hunting recreational opportunities at various times of the year. This acreage is being surveyed off-of a larger tract of land. The final legal description and taxable value will be determined when this one-time lot split is completed by the current owner. The property is being sold As-Is and is priced accordingly.

This property would make a great home business location for those of you looking for an acreage property with character, size and close proximity to Omaha customers. The structures have a breathtaking historical attraction to them that make you want to go inside and see them. It’s time for someone to bring their vision to these wonderful buildings. Take advantage of the drive-by traffic from Two Rivers State Recreational visitors bringing family & friends to camp and fish.

Brief Property History Notes:

Although Tony and Frances Vencil were not the original builders of the home, they sure brought a lot of farming skills to the property back in the day. The Vencils’ were well known to raise feeder cattle and dairy cows, hogs and sows, chickens and yes, even a few rabbits. Tony had a business relationship with Foxley Cattle and at one time had over 5000 head of cattle he fed. Son Frank Vencil told me they used to drive to Storz Brewing Company to purchase malt to feed the dairy cows. Frances enjoyed ceramic making with her own kilns and taught ceramic making classes on the property. They raised their five children on the property whom were involved in the farming and livestock operations. Tony and Frances loved to entertain friends and family on the property and Tony was an avid card player. The game of Pitch was his favorite game to play.
