F.A.Q. Here is a collection of frequently asked questions that we have put together to assist you: Does Zachland sell just land? No, we sell any type of real property including land, homes, lakes, acreages as well as personal property. Are you insured? Yes, we provide appropriate insurance coverages to fit your specific job. What are your fees or charges to sell real estate and personal property? We charge a percentage of the gross sales price of your real estate at closing. There is a separate fee to inventory and pack your personal property for sale, donation or debris removal. Upon the sale of your personal property items, we will collect a fee that is a percentage of the final sales price. Fees may vary depending upon the amount of time and work needed. Fees will be discussed after an on-site preview of the property and will be disclosed before any contracts are signed and any work has been started. Do I need to be the owner of the property? Yes and no. In some cases a personal representative, attorney, or trustee will need to provide documentation to prove the legal right to sign contracts to sell the real estate and personal property. The personal property must be free of any liens. Does Zachland keep your information confidential when selling personal property? Yes, we do not disclose the owner’s identity of the items unless it is required by law, i.e. vehicles, and we never sell our client list. Can I bring a few items to your secure warehouse to sell for me? Yes, some of our clients are not ready for the big clean out just yet. Clients may want us to sell just a few items now and wait to do the rest at a later date. Please call to discuss your exact needs and to schedule an appointment. My relative has passed away, and I need someone to secure the property. Can Zachland do this? Yes, we work with a local locksmith who can change the locks in a timely manner as long as the client has the legal right to do so. We can also coordinate additional security services per your request. Can you clean the property and prepare it for sale? Yes, we have a staff that will broom clean the property after all the contents have been removed that can be removed. If repairs are needed, we can refer you to contractors to complete the repairs and get the property ready to sell. Will you auction my property? If we agree that having an on-site auction is the best solution for the sale of your real estate and/or personal property assets, we work closely a local auction service who has several years of experience selling real estate and personal property.
